Katie is above average height and bordering on dangerously thin. She has been in our care for a number of months now, though she will often refuse to eat claiming to have broken some rule or other. Force feeding is being considered, and will be commencing if her weight drops further. She has shoulder length Blonde dreadlocks, at present kept loosley tied back, and pale skin.

What is not immediately visible are the scars covering her body. These are mainly concentrated around her chest and groin, though there are a large number of obvious whip scars across her back and buttocks, extending down onto her thighs. Most of these she claims were inflicted by James, who she also claims is responsible for her piercings. When rescued she was found to have a dozen, the majority of which were intimate, including the use of three padlocks. She saw this as normal.

Care should be taken with her clothes. Given the chance, Katie will wear tiny dresses, barely long enough to cover anything at all when she is standing, and useless when she sits down. Even if these are confiscated, she will attempt to make more or to modify existing clothing, claiming this is how 'James wants [her] to look'. Not only this, but she has refused to wear any form of underwear since her arrival here, despite efforts from our staff.

Do you suffer from any ongoing medical conditions such as heart conditions, diabetes, asthma or other long-term physical disabilities, diseases or afflictions?

No significant medical issues.

Do you have any allergies to foods, inhalants or medications? Please list allergies and age of onset below.

Latex, Discovered when patient attended ER with a broken arm aged six.

Does your family have a history of any ongoing medical conditions such as heart conditions, diabetes, asthma or other long-term physical disabilities, diseases or afflictions?

Patient believes her mother died of HIV two or three years ago. No hereditary issues known, though father is unknown.


Do you, or have you ever suffered from a mental affliction, or do you feel that you have problems with your state of mind? Examples could be anxiety, depression, seeing or hearing things that are not there, suffering from uncontrollable impulses, or entertaining damaging thoughts such as wanting to harm/kill oneself or do something damaging to another person. Have you ever abused controlled substances, alcohol, or prescription medications?

Patient has exhibited multiple problems with her state of mental well being. These problems have continued throughout her stay in this facility, we are unable to help her any further, if indeed we have helped her at all. In the past three months spent in our facility, patient has shown signs of depression, Severe nervousness, detoxed from both alcohol and prescription painkillers we suspect were used to ensure compliance, and has discussed suicide with therapists on multiple occasions. She has also exhibited self harming behaviour, extinguishing cigarettes on her skin whenever she has been able to get hold of them, and displayed inappropriate sexual behaviour to obtain these, leading to the dismissal of four of our staff.

Have you ever seen someone for these problems or addictions? Or have you been hospitalised or housed in an institution or home for people who suffer from mental afflictions, or admitted to a drug rehabilitation centre? If so, for how long, and what was your diagnosis?

Patient has spent the previous three months in the care of Saint Dymphna's shelter following her rescue.

It is believed that she spent upwards of six months in an abusive relationship with one 'James Greene', a sadist who took every possible opportunity to abuse, humiliate and degrade her. When she was rescued, she was found chained to his bed, shortly after a miscarriage, covered with fresh cigarette burns and marks presumably caused by a whip, clearly inflicted on her as some form of 'punishment'. It took some time, but she has given a statement to one of our staff regarding her treatment here. I shall paraphrase it before explaining her diagnoses.

Katie has told us that she was living on the streets for a period of several months before she met James. She'd broken up with her last boyfriend after he got her arrested after a 'punishment', consisting of a naked trip to walmart, and was reduced to trading sex for cigarettes and alcohol. She tells us that James found her doing this, and rather than let the store clerk continue to strangle her, he paid for her items and took her home with him.

He offered her a room in his home in exchange for sex 'whenever, wherever and however he wanted'. Katie gladly accepted this, and moved in that day, She has told us that at first things were normal enough, by which we assume she repeatedly slept with the man, but that after a week things turned violent. The problem is that she does not see anything wrong with this. She honestly believes that in a normal relationship a girl her age would be raped, beaten and burned by a man in his mid forties, and that it would be perfectly normal for him to bring home drunk and drugged underage girls for similar treatment. Unlike her, these girls were turfed out after a day or two.

She has told us that after the first week James claimed to 'fall in love' with her and offered her a choice. Submit and become his 'slave', and she would have a home for the rest of her life, rent free. She tells us that she did not hesitate and agreed immediately to allow him to 'collar' her. From there, things only got worse. Cigarette burns grew more frequent, cruel and barbaric 'punishments' began, involving anything from whips and beatings to public humiliation, and that even the sex became rougher and more painful. She has told us that she liked all of this. This collar started out as a leather dog collar, eventually moving up to a stainless steel band locked around her throat that had to be cut off after her rescue, as there was no other way to remove it. She was very distressed that this, though she has grown to accept it now. She claims James will beat her for it, but accepts there is nothing she can do to get it back.

From the scars on her body it is clear that she has essentially been used as an ash tray. She has multiple cigarette burns on sensitive areas, and almost all of them have been attributed to James. A small number can be pinned on abusers before him, which suggests this sort of behaviour has been going on for some time now, regardless of the risks to her health. That's without even mentioning the piercings.

From her testimony I have been able to diagnose her with sexual masochism, Stockholm syndrome, hypersexuality and obsessive love; possibly with a touch of depression and exhibitionism. She insists that James loves her and that she wants to leave and marry him, despite the conditions she was living in, and the high likelihood that he would kill her within a year. She does not even mention the drugs she was kept on, despite a painful detox in our care. She has shown no interest in obtaining any more drugs or alcohol since her arrival here, thankfully, she had been more concerned with trying to reunite with James. It appears that her self worth is determined entirely through sex, and that she believes it to be all she is good for, with the possible exception of housekeeping. I would suggest keeping her well away from any class even remotely connected with either of these, whatever she requests.


Where were you born, and where did you grow up? Were there any complications during your birth? What was your infancy like?

Records show that Katie was born and raised in Atlantic City. She was born a month premature, and was addicted to heroin at birth. Records indicate all milestones were reached late, though we cannot be sure of much else from this time.

Did you ever have any long-term separation from your parents?

Unfortunately this does not seem to be the case.

Do you have any siblings? If so, did you get along well with them?

Katie has one sister four years older than her, with whom she gets on very, very well, likley through shared hardships. Unfortunately, her sister is currently serving a prison sentence for possession of heroin, despite insisting she was simply 'picking up' for her mother. She has served five years so far. Her incarceration was the trigger that led to Katie leaving her abusive home, running to the arms of a string of even more abusive partners.

Did you attend public or private school, and if so, what were your grades like and how did you feel about it?

Katie has never been given the chance to succeed at school. She attended public school, and her attendance was always erratic, especially after age eight. By age twelve she had effectively dropped out. Quite what CPS were playing it is a mystery to all of us, but we assume she and her sister simply fell through the cracks as it were. Given their home life, they were likley written off long before any involvement was ordered.


Do you have an interest in the opposite or same sex, and if so, when did you become aware of this interest?

Both sexes, though she claims she is only interested in females as a way to entertain James.

Were you ever admitted to a psychiatric or correctional facility for juveniles, and if so why were you admitted, and how did you feel about it?

We are not a psychiatric facility per se, but katie has spent the last three months with us. We have been unable to help her in any way, and she has repeatedly claimed to hate it here and told us she's going to live with James. We have had to send a car to pick her up from outside the prison gates on several occasions.


Have you ever been convicted of a crime? If so, what was the conviction, and was was the sentence served, or fine paid?

Yes. Katie has been convicted of multiple counts of public drunkenness, public indecency, breaking curfew, shoplifting, public nudity and a handful of other, lesser charges. none of these amounted to more than fines or small amounts of community service.

Have you ever taken or abused controlled substances? Have you ever had an addiction to prescription medications, or have you abused alcohol?

Yes, though not willingly. James kept her drugged with a combination of alcohol and prescription drugs, despite her willingness to comply with him. It simply added an extra level of control. Since she came into our care, we have kept Katie away from such things, and she has made no effort to find them herself.


What are your goals in life?

Katier would say that her goal in life is to reunite with and marry James. This cannot be allowed to happen.

How do you hope that our facilities might help you in achieving those goals?

In a residential facility such as yours, Katie can get the care she needs, well away from even the possibility of a reunion with James. Without this possibility, I believe that she may be able to move on with her life, and with proper care, may be able to hold down a genuine, non violent relationship one day.

Finally, tell us a bit about yourself.

In addition to what I list above, there is the matter of her rescue from James' clutches. Katie tells us that she was pregnant, likley with James' child, until one day while she was taking a smoke break, the dinner she was cooking was burnt. James' reaction to this was extreme, even for him. She has told us that he repeatedly punched her in the stomach, causing a miscarriage, following which he did not seek medical help, and instead simply chained her to his bed and burned her again and again, with cigarettes and even a hot soldering iron, until the screaming and pleading finally grew too much for the neighbours, who called the police. Quite why it took them a year of a clearly abusive relationship is a mystery.

On arrival they found her unconscious on the bed, while James nonchalantly sat off to one side, smoking. He was immediately arrested and an ambulance was called, though the police believed Katie was already dead. It took a month in hospital before she was released to our care, and while with us she has incessantly asked when she can meet, write to or even marry James, claiming she consented to and even enjoyed everything that was done to her. Saint Matilda's may very well be the last thing keeping her from going through with this madness, our facility is for short term patients only, we cannot keep her here for much longer.
